The Upper Room Chapel was erected together with the Heritage USA Complex. It was built to have a similar resemblance to the main Upper Room in Jerusalem.

As a result of the many misconducts about Heritage USA, the amusement park was closed full-time in 1989. In 2009 the Chapel was close to being destroyed.

It was at this time that the Friends of the Upper Room” came in and requested that the property should be sold. James Russell, a Christian show promoter, bought the building in 2010, and the church started again in 2011.
